Our Story

The Babycord Brand was founded by Textile Engineer Tuğse Baş and Electrical-Electronics Engineer Yağız Andıç to realize the vision of sustainability and promote the value of hand-woven fabrics worldwide.

As the Babycord team, we are implementing our sustainable fashion approach with our designs that modernize the traditional and our environmentally friendly production methods. We present our collections with a minimal design approach, inspired by thousands of years of Mesopotamian culture and the colors of nature.

We set out to draw attention to the environmental impact of the fashion industry and for a greener world. We aim to spread the concept of sustainable and ethical fashion by using environmentally friendly materials such as Apple Leather, Upcycled / Recycled Yarns, etc.

Our Cultural Heritage Mission

We aim to preserve our cultural heritage by combining traditional hand-weaving techniques with modern designs. Each Babycord bag represents both the past and the future. It reflects the balance between roots and innovation.

Our Ethical Fashion Mission

Prioritizing ethics and responsibility in the fashion world is one of our cornerstones at Babycord. On this path, we aim to redefine industrial standards by embracing sustainability and fair production methods. In our production processes, we determine ethical norms by not harming the environment, respecting workers' rights and supporting local communities. While ensuring this, we contribute to women's employment and career acquisition processes by providing employment specifically for housewives.
